"pedagogical mediations"
The GENERAL CONTEXT of such use is:
pedagogical mediations: the perspective that defines the existential processes inherent in a pedagogical system, of the dynamics which take place, behind the backs of the agents engaged in a school system - teachers, students, parents, administrators - and often against their will, which, in effect, ensure the transmission of cultural capital across generations and which does so stamp pre-existing differences in inherited cultural capital with a meritocratic seal of academic consecration by virtue of the special symbolic potency (power) of a title, or credential (Master, Doctor, etc.).
