language of authority: (a) Refers to the discourse of teaching, by which the power of the (pedagogical) speech act (pedagogical communication) resides in the social authority delegated to a legitimate spokesperson.
(b) In reference to teachers and teaching, in which the very actions and power of the speech act reside in that social authority so delegated to a legitimate spokesperson.
