What Does the Bible Say About Hacking

Why You or Other People May Hack

Temptation! Yeah! Think about it.....people are so tempted to do things these days: to steal, to do something that gives them a thrill, to do something that is against the law! Is hacking against the law? You bet it is! Well, what is temptation?
Temptation- something that tests a persons righteousness and stregnth of character.
It says it all right there....if you believe in God, you KNOW that hacking is not right and that you should be doing RIGHT things according to the Bible and to God. Don't let something like temptation pull you down from being right!

What Does the Bible say about Hacking

Hacking is against even the Ten Commandments!
-"Thou shall not steal." Deuteronomy 5:19
-And John 13:34 says "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Isn't hacking stealing? Stealing personal informantion that shouldn't be taken, that wasn't intended to be taken. If we are to love one another, how are we showing love by taking or stealing from another?
-"He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need." - Ephesians 4:28
-"The Lord said to Moses "If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord by deceiving his neighbor about something entrusted to him or left in his care or stolen, or if he cheats him, or if he finds lost property and lies about it, or if he swears falsely about it, or if he swears falsely, or if he commits any such sin that people may do- when he thus sins and becomes guilty, he must return what he has stolen or taken by extorion, or return what he has stolen or the lost property he found, or whatever it was he swore falsely about. He must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it all to the owner on the day he presents his guilt offering. And as a penalty he must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, his guilt offering, a ram from the flock, one without defect and a proper value. In this way the priest will make atonement for him before the Lord, and he will be forgiven for any of these things he did that made him guilty."

Turning From Wickedness

How and why should we turn away from something that is wrong? -"Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God." - 3 John 11
-"Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.
-"It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another and this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love." - 2 John 13
We should follow what God commmands us to do.
-"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:13
-"The Lord knows those who are his," and "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

Our Protection from Other People Who May Tempt Us

The Armor of God
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit of all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." -Ephesians 6:10-18

Revenge and Why We Should Not Hurt Another

So how are we to go about being good? What exactly should I do and not do? Love
-"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality not curse.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace but leave foom for God's wrath, for it is written:'It is mine to avenge, I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary"

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." - Romans 12:9-21
