Michelle's vocal ability and stage mastery came from more than jus the raw talent with which she was born. Music has been a part of her life since day one. Raised in a musical family on a farm near Merlin, Ontario, Canada, her earliest memories are of singing in the car with the family, or watching her father perform in rhinestone-studded suits. Her mother was also a professional country singer, and Michelle and her brother played music together in a garage filled with musical instruments. "The story of me starting my professional career by stealing one of my mother's singing jobs is now legendary, but it's true," she confesses.
