Competitions

This is a list of some of the biggest bodybuilding organizations in the U.S., with many holding their own international events as well.

  • National Amateur Bodybuilding Association. Contests mainly on east coast.

  • Amateur Athletic Union. Competitions in a wide variety of sports, including powerlifting and physique events.

  • Amateur Bodybuilding Association.West coast, western and New York State competitions. Can qualify for world competitions.

  • National Physique Committee. Mostly eastern states competitions with some west coast events. This is the first step for entering the IFBB as a pro.

  • International Federation of Bodybuilding. Some information on the organization, but no info on how to join.
