Hello and Welcome to my Home Page!
I created this Internet Page to introduce some knowledge about California, Baja California, Architecture and about me, to people all over the World.
I'm Luis Gonzalez and I currently work at Graham Downes Architecture Inc. in a building known as The Blokhaus, located in Downtown San Diego, California, on 11th Avenue, just seven blocks east of Horton Plaza and one block west of New School of Architecture. I started working here on July 21st of 1998. I finished my professional studies in Architecture in December of 1997 and I received my Architects Title in June of 1998, so now I'm practicing in the real world.
Three of the major clients of our firm are 24 Hour Fitness, House of Blues and Charlotte Russe. They give us the opportunity to do most of the work we do in the office. We also have many other important clients. Thanks to all of them, we have experience in several realms: Restaurants (like Chive - description , Seau's and Okiton to name a few), New concept Drink Bars (We worked together with the owner of D'lush to create a whole new concept), Dance Bars (like Jimmy Love's), Office Buildings, Parking Structures, Retail Stores, Fitness Clubs and many other interesting projects.
One of the most important projects currently under construction is Music Village, the following is a brief description of this extraordinary project: "Developer Hanson Enterprises plans to convert several old structures along the east side of Fifth Avenue between Broadway and C Street into a mixed-use project featuring a restaurant, nightclub, retail space, and residential loft units. The façade of the historic Jessop Jewelers store will be retained. Construction is anticipated to begin in December 2000 with a June 2001 completion targeted. Graham Downes, architect". I studied in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, at this state's University (Universidad Autonoma de Baja California), where the Faculty of Architecture there is recognized as one of the top five schools in the country. I'm originaly from Tecate where they brew the famous Tecate Beer. Tecate is a small city with a population of about 80,000, and it's close to everything:

Before I was accepted at this terrific Architecture Firm, I worked for a year and a half at my University's Institute of Social Research.
