THIRTEEN BLAMELESS WHITE DOVES

Thirteen blameless white doves fly off into the sky,

Witnessed by the countless, who saw and wondered why.

On their wings of innocense, they take with them our love,

As thirteen blameless white doves ascend to Heaven far above.

Thirteen blameless white doves leave behind a shattered world,

As we who're left still mourn them, and our tears become unfurled.

The horror and the heartache, they look back once from their flight,

And thirteen blameless white doves circle off into the night.

Thirteen blameless white doves, each one a shining light,

They cast a giant silhouette outlining precious lives.

Our eyes still water freely, recalling how they touched us all,

Our thirteen blameless white doves, let not another child fall.

Thirteen blameless white doves fly off into the sky,

Witnessed by the countless, who saw and wondered why.

On their wings of innocense, they take with them our love,

As thirteen blameless white doves ascend to Heaven far above.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE 13 INNOCENT WHO WERE TAKEN FROM US SO VIOLENTLY AND SENSELESSLY AT COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL, LITTLETON, COLORADO.

LET NOT ANOTHER CHILD FALL.
