K J O'Donnell - Poetry Of A Skeptic

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, K J (Kevin) O'Donnell began writing poetry at an early age. His first major work, 'My Time Has Come'©, was published in 1983 and has been in print since. His topics are varied, from the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 'April, '68'©, to his lambasting of poetry critics in 'The Pompous One'©. He was educated at St. Thomas University and the Memramcook Institute in his native Canada. He is currently at work on a new prose novel, which is as yet untitled. It is due for completion soon. Mr. O'Donnell has been socially active in such causes as nuclear disarmament, third world development, the labour movement, the anti-apartheid movement, as well as Amnesty International. He is a past receipient of the Robert E. Ventzak Memorial Award and the M. E. Vincent Award. He is a divorced father of one son.
