Kathryn and Chakotay forever!
Janeway and Chakotay.....
These two were the perfect pair from the get-go (Caretaker). Chakotay used to be with Seska till she was discovered as the traitor bitch she is. (State of Flux) Of course, Seska's leaving left the path wide open for our dear Kathryn-- and then came "Resolutions". The episode that made us believe.
Our pair got sick, and the only way they could stay healthy was to be left on the planet, which they named "New Earth". By telling the tale of the angry warrior, Chakotay confessed his love. And it seemed the two would stay there forever. But a cure was found and they were back on the ship.
"Coda" continued the story, when an alien posing as her dad entered Kathryn's mind when she was on the brink of death. We saw Chakotay carry her, give her CPR, then cry when he thought she was dead, then after it was all over, give her a rose. She in turn invited him for a moonlight sail--which they never even showed! (Leave it to Jeri Taylor to do that to us)
Now many people ask--why these two? The answer is simple--there is chemistry between those two--undeniable chemistry. No way around it. It's hard to explain, but visit the J/C archive (linked below) and read a few of the stories. You'll see what I mean.
BTW, sorry to disappoint all of you, but that picture is not from an episode. Don't we wish! It's from the 1995 Voyager premiere special on E! Apparently, during the show, Robert Beltran started messing around with Kate Mulgrew--and someone had a camera handy.
