On Valentine’s Day, 2/14/98, we presented our 9th annual ballet! This year we performed

Snow White and the 7 Dwarves



It was be held at:

San Benito Joint Union High School Auditorium
1220 Monterey Street
Hollister, California


We had some harrowing moments getting ready to perform! Due to high winds and rain, the electricity went out at about 4:30p.m. and we weren't sure when it would come back on. No lights! No music! No curling irons! A call to P. G.& E. informed us it would be an hour, maybe 1 1/2 hours!!!! When the clock passed 6:00p.m. and no lights we began to dispair, but decided to go ahead and get dressed and made-up just in case. This proved to be no easy feat since it was by this time fairly dark in the dressing areas. Most of the dancers actually dressed in the dark and did a great job at it, too! (Only one incident of tights on backwards was reported!) At 6:30p.m. the public started to arrive, but due to fire laws, we were not allowed to let them in without any lighting, so they had to wait out in the cold and rain! At a miraculous 6:45p.m. the lights came back on amid a loud backstage whoop for joy! The show went on to a packed house right on time!


Ballet Started at 7:00p.m. -------- Doors opened at 6:30p.m.

Ticket Prices:
Adults (18 and over)-------- $5.00
Children (17 and under) and Seniors---------$2.00

Tickets included a Straw Hat Pizza coupon worth up to $3.00 off a large pizza!
