American Battle Monuments Commission
A straightforward site of the official American Federal level body that does the equivalent to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission(with certain noteable exceptions).

A non-governmental site listing with active links memorials and monuments from around the world as well as the United States. Very useful starting point.
Canadian War Memorials Project
A new as of late fall of 1999 Canadian initiative to document individual Canadian war memorials and the persons commemorated on same. Admirable!
Harry Palmer Gallery
From Calgary,Alberta,Canada a wonderful site by a Canadian photographer's 1980's-1990's well over 100 photos of Canadian war memorials and monuments focussed on 1914-1945. The photos include many overseas items and are chronologically/geographically arranged. Highly recommended!
