The Quest For Zoag

Hello there. You may have come because you enjoyed the quests I have sent you on before or because you just wanted to try one of my quests. I have designed a series of quests to get a really good group for Advanced Heroquest. Now on to the quest..........

You are looking on the town notice board when you see a small ad for a lost squig. His name is Zoag and an old man lost it when he was out of the house. The reward is 300GCs (all the man has) You head back to your cabin pondering whether to accept the quest. By the next day you have decided to take up the request. You are walking towards the old man's house when you here a scream and a crash. The next thing you know the medics are at the old man's house. It seems some one has badly wounded him. You want to do one thing for this poor old man, get his pet back. He is very weak and can only tell you where the dungeon is.
A couple of hours later you have all your gear and are rested up. You head north towards the dungeon.

Here is something interesting I have made up. It is how you can see what happens on your way to the dungeon. First get a blank sheet of paper. Draw a small town on it, this is where you are. Place your goblin figure over it. From here you roll a D30 (30 sided dice) and consult the table below.
1-3= swamp
4-6= forest
7-9=hills
10= town
11-12= mountains
13-16= forest
17= stream
18-19= desert
20-29= dungeon
30= plains
This list is what is ahead on your journey. If you roll up a dungeon you have reached your destination. If you roll up a town do the usual event roll and buy all the things you need. If you were to roll up a stream you would have to go around it which would mean rolling again. IMPORTANT: For each thing you roll you should move you figure accordingly to where you want to go and mark that place down on your map. For each place (except water and towns) you roll on the monster tables below:
1=Skaven warriors
2=Orc warriors
3=Goblin Archers
4=Chaos Warrior (only 1D4 of them)
5=Skeleton
6=Troll
7=Ogre
8=Minator
9=Fimir
10=Beastman warrior (Fimir if you on't have expansion set)
11=Chest
12=nothing
For any 1-5 rolled you get 1D6 of each to fight. For 6+ you only have to fight one. If you roll a chest roll on the chest table with a -1 to the roll. If you come up with the treasure map result the chest is empty. You can run away but you will have to roll your speed along with the enemy. If you win and he fails you get away and must roll the D30 to see what is ahead. If the enemy wins and you fail you have to fight a round of combat in which the enemy gets to attack. If you and the enemy both pass or both fail you must re-roll.
Once you reach the dungeon you roll on the basic dungeon tables to see what is generated. In the quest room is Zoag guarded by a Chaos Lord. The Chaos Lord has one special ability it doesn't normally have, it is immune to magic. If you kill the Chaos Lord and rescue Zoag read the following to the Goblin:
You have successfully rescued the squig and returned to the land of Kilaminjaro (home town) To get there you DO NOT have to roll on the tables to see what monsters and what land there is because you have explored everywhere and killed all the monsters. In the town you hear that the old man has died from the wound he had earlier. You go back to his house and all you find is a small note on his bed saying: I HOPE YOU HAVE RESCUED ZOAG FOR ME. YOU MAY KEEP HIM IF YOU LIKE. HIS IS A GOOD FIGHTER AND MAY HELP YOU OUT WITH IS GREAT SPEED. IF YOU ARE SEEKING IMPLOYMENT I KNOW A FRIEND WHO IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO GO INTO THE DUNGEON WITH. (the friend is a seperate quest under "Skobo Rescue") On the bed is also the 300GCs the man had promised.

If you want to go to the Skobo Rescue quest just go back to my quest page and click on Skobo's Rescue. BYE. Wait, Wait! I forgot to give you the table for Zoag:
You have to ride Zoag. You get all the gold and XP he gains plus his abilities (characteristics inluded) translate over to you. This means that you become immune to magic because he is immune to magic. No one else can ride him.
