Muskie are nice fish to fish, they can put up quite the fight, if you're lucky enough to catch one, they are usally hard to catch. A good time to Fish them is early morning or late after noon and when it is not very windy. Muskie Like deep weedy and or rocky areas. They like flashy furious action lures. Good lures to use are big spinner baits live minnows and surface baits.
When fishing Muskie you should use 20-50Lb test line and steel leaders are necessary.
Sometimes Muskie will follow your lure up to your boat and then take off once you take your lure out of the water. If this happens severel times try keeping the lure in the water after you see it and (slowly, quietly) run your lure in a figuer 8 around the boat, then the Muskie might finally decide to strike.
