"Ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question -- Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same; they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush or into the bush...Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't, it is of no use." --Don Juan

I came to UCSC as a Geophysics major in hope of one day becoming a Seismologist. I worked very hard and was very good at studying volcanoes, earthqaukes, and tsunamis, but I found that my heart was not in it. As a junior, I went back to my interests from High School: History and Classical Studies. I believe that Classics are an integral part of understanding and learning about the world, and I hope to do research as well as teach in this field. I plan to go on to Grad school and then perhaps become a Professor at a Jr. College, where I believe good teachers are needed most. I also would like to do research in Archeology, particularly in regards to Atlantis, Crete, and Pompeii.

"Oh, the worst of all tragedies is not to die young but to live until I am 75 and yet not ever truly to have lived." --Martin Luther King, Jr.

I have many interests, most of which delve into my creative mind. I love to write, sketch, and paint. I also love to sing and perform. At UCSC, I am co-director and cast member of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and I have also been the Officer of Arts and Sciences in the Society for Creative Anachronism, at UCSC. I often feel like a 90's Donna Reed, but with a wicked side. I enjoy cooking, embrodery, and playing the piano, but sometimes I break out and do weird, seductive things. Catch me sometime on 88.1 Santa Cruz or on the web , where I drop-in on the Reverend Michael Doss and his radio show, The Absurdist Edge every Tuesday morning from 6-9am.

"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
--Antoine De Saint-Exupery

To surround oneself with loved ones is the best way to learn about oneself. It is like holding a mirror in front of your face. I have two wonderful best friends that complement my strange personality well, Guy and Chris, and three over-worked, under-paid, but still slightly sane confidants, Ken, Phaedra and Mikey. There are also two other really special people in my life, who could never go without mention, Maria and Vincent (without whom I'd be floundering in all of my thoughts and "deepness"). All of these people make my world a happy, goofy, and exciting place. I love them very much.

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds...Speak what you think now in hard words and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict everything you said today." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

My life is constantly changing and not a day goes by that I don't learn something new or different. I try and update this webpage often, but it seems that my life changes too quickly to keep up with. So this is just a run-down of who I am. If you would like to find out more, email me.
