Long, long ago when I had never heard Tool before, I had thought the band to be hard rock/thrash music with no musical skill involved.
Then I heard my first Tool song. It was ÆNIMA off their CD ÆNIMA that my friend had brought over. He said they were unlike any band I had heard before.
He was right. Tool is not a thrash band, nor a hard rock band; they are beyond labels. When you listen to Tool you can't tell that it's only music you're listening to.
Tool's songs (as I have often heard before) offer a sort of "musical enlightenment", as so put by another addicted Tool fan. For those of you out there who dislike Tool
because you think all rock bands are the same, I pity you. Stop listening to "Star" and "Q106" and start listening to the real music out there.

It has come to my attention that some of you out there hate the song "Disgustipated" off of Tool's UNDERTOW CD. I agree that it is kind of weird, but at the same time it's funny....so don't judge Tool by
one song.

If you e-mail the band from their website, does a secretary or the actual band answer the mail? It seems to me like they just have a crew member answer the questions....e-mail the band if you don't believe me.

It has been about three or four months since I visited T.D.N. and/or the official Tool website, and they have both changed greatly...I cannot get T.D.n. to load, and the official site is more streamlined. Is this what the band has been doing in the lag time between ÆNIMA and a new CD?

FINALLY, another update. Of course, all us diehard Tool fans have heard the "Judith" single by now (a song by A Perfect Circle, Maynard's side-project). A Perfect Circle's CD is due out May 23rd, so I suggest that you save up what pathetic earnings you recieve from your dead-end jobs and buy it the day it comes out. Still no "definite" date set for the release of the new Tool album, although their official site has been finally updated....Maynard supposedly helped out on a new deftones song for their not-yet-released 3rd CD, "The White Pony." (Just so I don't have to keep listing all these links at random spots, go to my Recommended Listening/Playingsection) Anyways, that's about all the worthy stuff that's been going on recently; I'm looking around for some better pics of the band (Tool), mail 'em to me at apok42@juno.com
