- Martin Landau only appeared in Season 1 as a recurring guest star. He did not actually join the cast until Season 2.
- In Season 5, Peter Lupus and Sam Elliott appeared in alternating episodes. They each appeared in about half the season, and only appeared together twice.
- Lesley Warren gained much more fame after leaving M:I and adding her middle name Ann.
- In Season 7, Lynda Day George missed about 10 episodes due to pregnancy. While she was gone, Barbara Anderson took her place as the character of Mimi Davis.
- Peter Lupus went on to star with Leslie Nielsen in Police Squad. When Police Squad went on to become the Naked Gun movie series, his role was given to none other than OJ Simpson.
