This morning the pups were wide awake. They started
barking and doing puppy growls when I went into the puppy room.
They are better able to see now, and can follow my
movement in the room. They can hear better also, so I have a low radio playing in the puppy room for stimulation.
For those making travel plans to get your puppy, Day 49 is October 27th, so that weekend would be the best time to think about getting your pup.
Yesterday I made a quick trip to the Fingerlakes dog show. I needed to take Aysa in for her Health exams. (Cardiac clinic, CERF eye clinic) but I got to stay for the
curly judging. (The pups Dad Moxi took the point on the first day, and the pups uncle Rufus
took a major the day I was there.)
After the show, I had to take precautions that I didn't bring anything back from the show with me. With
thousands of dogs, you never know what kind of germs are around. I wore a pair of shoes that I could bleach the soles of, and entered the house through the back,
where I could dump my cloths in the washer and take a shower before going near the pups. The pups immune systems are undeveloped still. They get their immunity
from mom, and the antibodies in her milk.
