A sewing machine - Its important to know what to look for in a sewing machine,
but 99% of the machines on the market will do. It will need to do strait stitch with size and tension
adjustment and zigzag with width, size and tension adjustment.
A good pair of sewing scissors. These can be bOught at any variety, craft or fabric store. The thing to
remember is never to use them for cutting paper other than tissue paper, this dulls the type of edge
used to cut cloth very much.
In ironing board and iron. wrinkles throw off your cutting and measuring, besides it nice to be able
to wear the clothes right off the sewing machine.
Pins, safety pins etc. Things to hold pieces lined up while you work.
An area to work. Ideally a large table to lay things out. Whether this be the dining room table or
something else. I use a large plastic patio table that also doubles as my dining table when it has a
table cloth on it.
