U.S. in awe over new thinking tactics of President Bush - (ABCNews.com)

By Arshad Mohammed

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) prepared on Thursday to welcome home the crew of a U.S. spy plane freed by China and thinks Washington can still have a ``productive relationship'' with Beijing, the White House said.

This newly adopted "thinking" strategy was a surprise today, and may very well be the break that his office needs to determine the success of the Bush presidency. Public opinion has noted the view that thinking has escaped the younger George Bush's presidency up to this point, and was an issue that had plagued him all through his presidential campaign.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer (news - web sites) said Bush thought the new approach to his Presidency would continue as long as prudently possible, and is proven to be effective. Fleischer also said that this new approach was receiving wide bipartisan support from congress. ``But there are many details that remain to be filled in,'' he added.
