So wanting to know more eh? Well if you want to know about this Martial art you have come to the right place! I will start off by saying that Ayensu's Tae Kwon Do is located in Georgetown Ontario, Canada and has some of the best martial arts instructors in all of North America.

Training in this Martial Art, Tae Kwon Do is very exciting, but what makes it that much better is the 2 master instructors I have training me. Master Felix and Master Jerry Racicot. Both instructors have at least a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, combined together these men have at least 52 years of training behind them, it is quite the honor and privilage to be able to work with them on the Do Jo.

Master Felix Ayensu

Master Felix Ayensu, the owner of this club is a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 4th degree black belt in Combat Judo Karate. He begun the study of the Martial Arts in his home country of Ghana in 1974, and was trained by Grand Master Gwak Ki Ok, a 8th degree black belt, and one of South Korea's most prestigious Grand Masters.

• North American Instructor Of The Year For 1995

Master Jerry Racicot

Master Jerry Racicot began his study of the martial arts in September of 1970, in Kiszuki Do Karate where he attained a 1st degree black belt. Aside from his 1st degree in Karate he also holds a 6th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is also trained in Hapkido & Western Boxing. In 1978 Master Jerry met Grand Master Chung Kee Tae, a 9th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 9th degree black belt in Hapkido. Master Jerry also became a head instructor under Grand Master Chung Kee Tae at head quarters "C.K.T Tae Kwon Do Academy" (located 511 Yonge St. Toronto, Ontario, Canada). When Master Jerry used to do sparring against his team mates in class, they would often wear Football Gear to protect themseleves from Master Jerry's Powerful Punches & Kicks! Master Jerry has over 28 years experience.

Our Club

Ayensu's Tae Kwon Do is located in Georgetown Ontario, Canada and has over 400 students, and were still counting!!! We have classes for all age groups (Male & Female) and now we have Ladies Aerobic Kick Boxing & Self Defence Fitness. Along with our normal classes (which run 6 days a week, morning, afternoon and evening classes)Ayensu's Tae Kwon Do also runs a Little Dragons program for children between the ages of 4-6 years of age (this also runs 6 days a week). One of the clubs most major Accomplishments was the Junior Tae Kwon Do National Championships, Which were held in Toronto back in June of 1997. The Club claimed 27 medals, 13 of which were gold.

  History On Tae Kwon Do

  Translation of the word Tae Kwon Do means "the art of kicking and punching" where Tae means "to kick" Kwon means "to punch" and Do meaning "art". However Do in Korean implies the philosophical approach to a way of life, a pathway to achieve enlightenment. Students of Tae Kwon Do do rigorous physical training, in attempt to improve themselves physically as well as mentaly and spiritually.
  On May 28, 1973 a new world wide organization formed. The World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF). Since then, WTF has regulated Tae Kwon Do internationally. In May 1973 the first biennial WTF Championships were held in Seoul Korea as a prelude to the inuguration of the WTF. World Championships since then have been held in countries all over the world.
  Under the auspices of the General Association of International Sports Federation (GAISF), Tae Kwon Do was introduced to the International Olympic Commitee (IOC) in July, 1980. Tae Kwon Do made an apperance at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea only as a demonstration sport. However, in the coming 2000 olympics in Sydney, Australia, Tae Kwon Do will be reconized as a full medal sport. How Tae Kwon Do Works In Competition
