September 2nd, 1975

A new express bus service designated TOWNCENTRE EXPRESS introduced between the Scarborough Town Centre and the downtown central business district. From the north parking lot at the Centre, buses operate east on Progress Avenue, north on McCowan Road, west on Highway 401, south on the Don Valley Parkway, west on Richmond Street, south on Simcoe Street and east on Adelaide Street, returning via the Don Valley Parkway, Highway 401 and McCowan, looping counterclockwise via Trizec Gate, Progress, Borough Drive and Progress. Six buses provide a 10 minute rush hour service, and two buses run on 30 minute headways off-peak, 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday (except holidays).
