There isn't anything in there that's fake. It's all real."
Robert Jacks, Leatherface

Interesting facts:

::: From the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, actress Marilyn Burns [ Sally ] and actors Paul Partain [ Franklin ] and John Dugan [ Grandpa ] reveal cameo appearances in The Next Generation. You will find Marilyn Burns as a mysterious woman being carried on a stretcher [ possibly Sally? ], and you will find Paul Partain as a hospital employee, and John Dugan as a concerned police officer. Look for these appearances near the end of the movie.

::: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation was released in select theaters all around the US on August 29, 1997.

::: Matthew McConaughey's management put pressure on Kim Henkel and Robert Kuhn [ co-producer ] to stop the theatrical release of the movie.

::: Actor Robert Jacks [ Leatherface ] and Actress Renee Zellweger [ Jenny ] were both so emotionally damaged by the third week of filming that they called for a meeting with the director and producer, claiming they were so beat up and bruised that they couldn't take it anymore.

::: The movie was written and directed by Kim Henkel, who wrote the screenplay for the original. He was apparently dissatisfied with part two and three, which were based more on blood and gore than the unbloody exciting original.

::: The movie was filmed throughout the end of 1994 and the beginning of 1995 under the name The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, later being released in 1997 under the name Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

::: The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was 104 minutes long. The Next Generation was 95 minutes long.
