Welcome to my Solomon & Rachel Taylor Beesley homepage. Solomon & Rachel lived at Core Creek, Beesley Island, North Carolina. Their neighbors for over a hundred years were the McCoy family who also lived along the Rattlesnake branch of the creek & the TAYLORS of Virginia.
Willis McCoy also relocated to LOGAN/WARREN County, Kentucky with William & others, including MARSHALLS, SLADES & TAYLORS who made their way along the river in 13 flatboats abt 1795. They remained there for about 20 years & then all again relocated to BUTLER County, Kentucky abt 1819, after the death of Moses Taylor, William's father in law.
