Even then, with the smoke from his aborted Columbia deal swirling around him, Stuart was a star. He walked it like he talked it--and he talked it real good."

He is also a collector of country music memorabilia, having a collection that is one of the largest in the world. As a matter of fact, he has hundreds of items, on loan to the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Ride through history in his words. He is one of the very few country artists today, who have truly deep country roots. As Connie Smith puts it: "Marty sees the world through the eyes of a child, but he's got an old soul."

He is a wonderful person and is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. He is truly a fine country gentleman. He is also one of my favorite poets of all-time.
