First of all, I now am better educated and know that New Zealand and Australia are very seperate. Besides a four hour flight, the rules governing Junior Showmanship there is very different.
SUMMARY (PROVIDED BY KRISTEN BROOKS):
There are normally 2 classes Child Handler which is under 10 years and
Junior Handler which is 10-18 years. New Zealand is quite a bit
different to Australia because we only have 2 major competitions a year
with sometimes a couple of smaller ones. These classes really only
apply to the Ribbon Parade competitions to gain more experience.
POINT SYSTEM:
The final competition I've provided the results to below is held once a year. The winner represents New Zealand at Crufts in March the next year in the Junior Handler field. For this competition it is for anybody under the age of 17 on the date of the heat. There are 10 heats around New Zealand and the winners of the 10 heats goes to the final.
