Down Under!

HELLO!

Australia is more relative to Canada in juniors competitions than it is to the States. In Australia you may take any dog you please, and it DOES NOT have to be a dog your parents or direct family member owns. Plus...

CLASSES:
1) Junior- 7 to under 13 yr olds.
2) Senior- 13 to under 18 yr olds.

As you may have already noticed, the classes are not divided into novice and open. Occasionally, however, they will seperate the boys from girls.

PLACEMENTS:
First, Second, and Third.

POINT SYSTEM:
"Pal Heats" -
To qualify for the Pal State final you must win at least one first in a pal heat. After winning three heats you are not allowed to go in the ring until the finals so you can give others a go. If you win first with a breed of dog you are not allowed to take in that breed again. You are not even allowed to even change varieties in that breed, eg. If you take in a smooth dachshund, you are not permitted to take in a long dachshund. Once again, you do not have to own the dog that you are taking in Juniors.

Thanks Joanne & Melanie...I wouldn't be able to do this without you!
