Some methods, like ICQ and PowWow require the user to download and install a program first. Both ICQ and PowWow are free, although ICQ says they reserve the right to start charging money for the use of it at some later date. Too bad, because it may be the best and most versatile, but it shouldn't stop anyone from using it now.
Some methods don't require the user to run a program but require the web page to run a program. This doesn't work too well with Angelfire pages, because Angelfire doesn't allow web pages that run programs. There are be some chat programs which are both free and let us use another server to run the program. The "Guerneville Online Message Board" is a message board type program in this category. The only chat program we have been able to find is ParaChat, which is not too bad.
Anyway, the links that lead to each one are below. Check 'em out. The idea is to make it possible for the people who use this site to enter into conversation. Your humble webmaster's preference is ICQ. It's listed first, but don't neglect to look into the others because each has it's strong points.
