STORY TITLE: Parts and Pieces
REVIEW:
ACT 1: Forest Hills. Aunt May's residence. Mary Jane is visiting May. They are discussing about Peter being Spider-Man when the phone rings. It is Peter. He is calling from the Nevada Desert where he's just found out some rather important information about the creation of the villainous creature known as Digger, who has been terrorizing New York City ever since his emergence a few days ago. He explains to her how Digger is actually made up from parts and pieces of thirteen mobsters who were killed years ago back in 1957 by an individual named Forelli, as part of his plan to take control of the entire New York City crime network. Forelli, however, had not expected that years later gamma rays experiments would take place in the exact location where the bodies of the thirteen men had been buried, hence creating the monstrosity that calls himself Digger. Once he is done explaining all that, he tells her that he is coming back home.

ACT 2: Disguised to conceal his repugnant appearance, Digger is roaming the streets of New York in search of old places where he used, or I suppose I should say where THEY used to go. His ultimate goal remains the same, to slowly take away Forelli's power, his influence, his organization, and his money; because killing him would be too easy. He is last seen standing underneath the shadows of a tree, spying on Forelli and his daughter, Lynne; the latter feels like she is being watched and turns around – Digger blends in the shadows and disappears.

ACT 3: Not much happens here except some very personal moments between Spider-Man's alter ego Peter Parker and his wife, Mary Jane with whom he's just gotten back together after a long and painful separation.

ACT 4: A mobsters hideout: the frequent hangout for some of Forelli's men. Suddenly, the main door explodes into pieces: it's Digger! Meanwhile, Spider-Man is web slinging when his pager goes off (given to him by Forelli). It is an emergency. Seconds later, after having spoken with Forelli, Spider-Man shows up at the hideout where Digger has just crashed the party. Another amazing battle ensues between the two foes. However, as they are waging war and unknown to both of them, some of Forelli's men are advancing towards the hideout drawing their machine guns. They begin shooting. His spider-sense having warned him, Spider-Man leaps out of harm's way. Digger is not that fortunate. So it seems. As the dust clears out and the men lower their weapons, Digger is revealed still standing amidst the wreckage. And the shooting continues. Having had enough, Digger breaks a supporting column and part of the building falls apart around him. Spider-Man pushes Forelli's men out of harm's way, outside the building. Mad at them, he webs them up. He immediately starts searching through the debris and finds a piece of wood with some kind of greenish slime on it, which, he thinks, may hold the key to defeating Digger. Back in the sewers, Digger has taken a hell of a beating. He is bruised, battered, and bleeding.

ACT 5: Shortly after at Forelli's mansion. Spider-Man is furious at Forelli for having sent his men at the building earlier. Forelli's daughter, Lynne, suddenly comes in and slaps Spider-Man, telling him to get away from her father. Surprised, Spider-Man tells Forelli and Lynne to barricade themselves because Digger will do anything in his power to get to them. As he leaves, he adds that the price to protect them is now $12,000.00 per day. Forelli and Lynne are left pondering about what will happen. Most importantly, Forelli realizes that the sins of his past are back to haunt him.
