STORY TITLE #1: The Perfect World Part 1 – Heroes and Villains
REVIEW:
ACT 1: Flash Thompson awakens to the sound of knocking on a window. It is Spider-Man. He tells Flash that the Fantastic Four need their help to vanquish Doctor Doom who has them trapped. Flash quickly changes into his costume and Spider-Man and him head to the Baxter Building where the Fantastic Four are being held captive. To us, spider fans, this has to be an alternate reality. Let's wait and see what happens next.

ACT 2: The police are surrounding the Baxter Building. Captain George Stacy is in charge. Capt. Stacy warns Flash that the girls are after him, when suddenly Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, and Betty Brant surround Flash and begin cat-fighting over him. Spider-Man asks how he does it. Suddenly a violent explosion comes from the Baxter Building. Losing no time, Flash kicks it into high gear and goes in, followed by Spider-Man.

ACT 3: Meanwhile, inside the building, Doom is using Reed Richards' equipment to bring forth allies he's made within the negative zone so that together they may conquer the planet; him as their king of course. Reed tries to reason with Doom but the latter sends electrical discharge that knocks Reed unconscious. At that exact moment, Spider-Man enters the scene, closely followed by Flash. While Spidey tackles Doom, Flash rescues the others. Flash and the FF slowly make their way towards the exit when they encounter something that stops them dead in their tracks: a hole in the space-time continuum. Reed asks Flash to get as close as possible to the portal without being pulled in an attempt to close the hole using one of his devices. However, when Flash reaches the portal, a large hand comes out of it and grabs his arm. It is Blastaar. He seems to recognize Flash immediately and is furious at Doctor Doom; the latter had said that they would only be facing the Fantastic Four. Flash pulls out his gun. In need of help, Blastaar summons his guard, Annihilus, who shares the same rage towards Doom and requests to see him at once. His demand is answered when Doctor Doom comes flying and lands right on him, courtesy of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. In one last effort, Spider-Man and Flash repel them all back into the negative zone, and Flash does the coup de grace when he shuts down the device that brought them there in the first place. The Fantastic Four congratulate Flash, especially Sue, who gives him a very sensual kiss on the lips, right in front of Reed, who tells Flash he doesn’t even mind.

ACT 4: Later that day, a parade is organized in honor of Flash (and Spider-Man), and Norman Osborn, the Mayor of New York City (Huh?), hands him the key to the city. J. Jonah Jameson, who is in the crowd, is furious that Osborn would hand over the key to these two costumed vigilantes; he goes as far as confronting Spider-Man, who surprisingly, takes a swing and knocks him out. Osborn supports Spider-Man's gesture and asks Flash to say a few words to his adoring public. Flash starts to speak when suddenly he pauses, feeling that something is just not quite right. An image of Flash, submerged in water, hands tied together, and tubes plugged into him, is quickly shown to the reader. Spider-Man asks him if he is okay. Flash replies that he is fine and that it's now time to party. The scene switches to Peter Parker, who was just watching the key ceremony on television. In this alternate reality, Peter is a bookworm, bound to a wheelchair. He realizes that Flash was correct when he said that something just didn't feel quite right. Aunt May asks him what he means. He replies that he has this weird feeling that the world is a bit off center. Aunt May says that they should call the Doctor immediately; she feels that he is looking a bit pale. Suddenly, Uncle Ben comes walking in and tells her that Peter is fine. All he needs is a bit of fresh air. Peter agrees. To be continued.
