DREAMS IN HISTORY
Hitler once had a dream that saved his life. Pretty weird that a dream could save the life of a man who would end up killing so many. Well enough of my opinions here is the dream:
At the time Hitler was a 28 year old corporal. He was in his bunk dreaming about being buried alive underneath molten iron and tons of earth, warm blood flowing across his chest. He then woke up suddenly. It then came to realization that he had only been dreaming but he was still worried beleiving it to be a forewarning. He got up from his bed and went walking outside of the bunker he shared with his fellow soldiers. He found himself walking over to the no man's land which separated the French lines from the Germans. He suddenly had the sense that he was in danger. Next, he heard bursts of gunfire. Heavy artillery shell was exploding. He waited until he heard no more sounds of firing then went running back to the safety of his bunker. When he reached that destination he was confronted with the sight of his fellow soldiers lying underneath molten iron and tons of earth.
The structure of the carbon based molecules was made due to a dream by chemist Friedrich August Kekule von Stradonitz. As he slept one night, he dreampt that carbon and hydrogen atoms were dancing and then formed a chain , the backbone of complex molecules. Another dream had by this man launched the German synthetic-dye company . He had dreampt about a ring shaped structure that he then realized was benzene.
