FOURWINDS LODGE intends to do their part to interrupt that influence by bring people together as a family for a common purpose, to take back our communities from those who would destroy our lives, and those of the children of our communities. For substance abuse has no age, color, faith, or racial preference. We have learned that by providing our communities with a number of positive activities we are able to influence those that would fall into the hands of crime, addiction and gang violance.
It is our goal to change the way Americans, both Native and non-Native view each other. We are working to correct misconceptions through cultural awareness and sharing that could only enrich our lives and our communities. Our group is organizing activities that will promote sobriety, well being, and dialoque between members of the sacred circle, which consist of all of the Creators people.
Our short term goals for Fourwinds Lodge is to able to provide students that qualify, with grants, and or materials, items such as clothing, and school supplies that will help young people to stay in school. We also want to help our community with some type of assistance, such as food baskets during hard times or holidays. This type of assistance will come from donations, food and can food drive that Fourwinds Lodge will organize to help members and families in need in our communities.
Our long term goal is to raise funds to purchase ten (10) tipis for our ceremonial camp area where children and their families can spend a night together after listening to Native American story telling, ceremonies, guest speakers, and other activities. We are dedicated to teaching the prevention of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco abuse, with an emphases on saying no to gangs, to protect the children of our communities from a way of life that will surely end early. With the generosity of our members, private businesses, grants, and anyone who would like to help, we will be able to organize activities in our communities. We will also be providing our campsite with archery, softball, horseshoe games, crafting materials for crafts and so much more.
By becoming a member or donating to Fourwinds Lodge you are insuring that we can make a difference in our communities through programs and activitied that promote sobriety, respect for our elders and the importants of family. You will also be helping us to gather the resources to teach everyone about the delicate balance between people and nature. Mother earth is fighting for her life and we can make a difference, so our children and our children's children will have a land to care for.
Fourwinds Lodge invites any group, organization, or person to join with us to create a positive roll in the lives of children by promoting good family values. We also welcome professionals that can help with grant writing, and fund raising or any other assistance towards our effort.
Fourwinds Lodge is a nonprofit, spiritual organization and will not discriminate in any way, shape, or form, but reserves the right to back away from any person, group, or organization that does not promote peace, well being, sobriety, cultural awareness, spirituality, and good family values.
