Text Box: Mickelson and was raised in Bushnell, growing up in the house now owned by the Fishers on the north side of Bushnell. 
Following town board discussions regarding the offer of the bell, it was unanimously approved that the town would accept the gift & plans began to erect a site for the bell in the town park. The bell has since been delivered & efforts are underway to make a secure foundation for it to be placed on, which will include a plaque citing the donor.

Text Box: Mosquito spraying to be discussed at length 
Text Box: Mrs. Viola (Mickelson) Hartly, a long time resident of White passed away in June of this year leaving in her will the old Bushnell school bell. 
Hartly was the daughter of Louis and Pearl (Pittman) Text Box: If you can’t attend the meeting, residents are encouraged to send a letter in voicing their opinion so that everyone has a chance to speak on this matter.


Text Box: Town residents are invited to come to the upcoming September town board meeting, which will be held on September 1st so as to discuss in full the wishes and concerns of the town’s residents regarding mosquito spraying.
The town board hopes to evaluate this past summer’s Text Box: spraying & determine whether residents wish to continue the spraying or alter the format of mosquito control taking place in town.
Board members ask that residents attend the meeting so the town can work in unison to control mosquito populations in the future.

Text Box: The Family Memorial for Viola Hartly has also provided a monetary gift of $2000 to cover the cost of the building of a foundation to mount the bell to which was received by the town council in early August. 
Those interested in helping in the installation of the bell should call city trustee, Dave Huebner or stop by his store Dakota Stoneware Pottery, located on Main street.
