Balance is the stability of and arrangement.
There are two types of balance. Informal and Formal. This is an example of Formal.
Contrast occurs when two
elements are different in some way. This is an example of Contrast:
Unity is when all parts of the design suggest a single idea or impression. This is an example of Unity:
Proportion is the interrelationship of all parts of an arrangement.
An example of Proportion:
Rhythm is the movement of the eye towards or away from the center of interest. This is an example of rhythm
