Summary

Objective: Seeking Part-time AS/400 or iSeries development(programming, reporting) assignments that will allow me to work after hours. In exchange for the after hours opportunity the programming rate is likely a fourth to a half the cost that you would pay at other places.

Summary: Over 13 years in the Midrange Programming Field (S/36, AS/400, iSeries). Ten of these years have been spent on the AS/400 (iSeries) with RPG(RPG 400 and RPG IV) and CL programming experience. The remaining three years have been spent in the System 36 COBOL environment. My experience includes multiple ERP/WMS implementations which involved design and development of the interfaces. I have also have some VB.net experience. Programming tasks involve project lead on interface development, support of PRMS, Order/Billing, Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, Data Collection, Cost Accounting, Scanning/Bar-coding, Shipping/Receiving, A/R,A/P, GL etc. I have also been responsible for the support of Manhattan’s WM (PKMS) and JD Edwards (World).

Professional Experience

2000 - Present: APPLICATIONS MANAGER (AS/400 RPG Project Management/Programming) Client: Confidential - Responsible for ERP’s and WMS’s that run for the Aftermarket Parts division. This includeds Full support of PRMS, WM(PKMS) and JD Edwards ERP system. Served as Interface Manager for WMS implementation of Manhattan’s WM (PKMS) where I designed, programmed, and implemented interfaces between PRMS and WM (PKMS). Support existing code in RPG/400. New programs were created in RPG IV syntax. Support Purchasing, Order Billing, Cust Service, Finance, Warehouse, and interfaces to/from WMS/PRMS.

Feb. 2000 – Apr. 2000: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST

Client: Confidential - Contract Position - Responsible for developing new programs in RPG IV to replace existing manual processes that utilizee SQL, Query Manager, and COBOL programs.

Feb. 1999 - Feb. 2000: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST

Client: Confidential - Responsible for both new development and maintenance (RPG 400, RPG IV) of programs in manufacturing environment (Inventory tracking, Shipping, Receiving, Sales/Order Entry, Bar-Coding, Scanning). Largest project included design, coding, implementation, and training of Scanning (Bar-Coding) System. Programming tasks involved several departments (Accounting, Receiving, Distribution, Purchasing, Pre-Press, Inventory Control, etc.).

Apr. 1997 - Feb. 1999: PROGRAMMER

Client: Confidential Responsible for parts of the development and maintenance of programs in the Cost Accounting System, Customer Order System, Invoice Entry System and Statistics System. Also responsible for parts of the Financial Accounting migration from Lawson to Solomon. I supported existing application in RPG III and any new development was done in RPG IV.

Jul. 1994 - Apr. 1997: PROGRAMMER

Client: Confidential - Insurance Industry: Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of programs. Programming was done in System /36 COBOL. Programs include Billing System, Data Entry systems, Batch processing, Invoice and Report generation, etc.
