Name: Kara

Becky,
So you are wondering if you will ever be mentally prepared for this baby. Let me tell you, don't even attempt trying to be mentally prepared. A month into this now and I can honestly say that I was not mentally prepared, but then I knew ahead of time I wasn't, and all is still going very well with Brad, Kasia and myself. We have somehow managed to learn this whole parenting thing with relative ease and we have managed to keep Kasia alive and healthy for the last month. The best advice I can give is don't sweat the small stuff. I know that sounds quite simplistic but trust me, it's true. I think people worry too much about the littlest things and everyone around you seems to have great success in aiding in this worry. You and James will figure it all out when the time comes and if you just go with the flow, all will be good. Hey, if Brad and I can make it run this smoothly then I'm sure you'll have no problems. By the way, two days before Kasia was born I was pretty non-chalant and was completely convinced that she was going to be about 1-2 weeks late. Boy was I wrong. I never got any of those hurried nesting feelings that everyone talks about so beware that it could happen at any minute. :) Good luck to all of you and I can't wait to find out how the next week progresses. One more thing, you look fantastic!!! I looked like a freaking blowtoad in the last couple of weeks and I only went to 38.
