Meeting of Great-Nana Haugh!

We ventured over to West Roxbury today to visit with Great-Nana Haugh and Great Uncle Kevin! This has been a very busy weekend for Ben! He has met so many new people! Ben is the 9th Great-grandchild for Nana! She is convinced that he'll have blue eyes so we shall see!

Ben has a new friend! - Keira!
Today we went and visited Cate and Andy in the hospital! Keira was born on the 21st and we couldn't be happier! She is a delight and Ben is very excited about his new friend!

Meeting of the Great-Grandparents!

Today, Ben met his Great-Grandparents on Becky's side. They came up from Connecticut and were delighted to meet their first great-grandson! He was happy too! He also got to see his Grandmama again!

Return of the Fire Hose!

The fire hose shot off again today, only it shot off on Becky's watch...it was an adventure! After I got him all cleaned up and changed his clothes, Ben decided to spit up all over me and then he got the spit up all over his new clothes and all in his hair. We attempted a bath which was a horrible experience for little Ben! It beats smelling like sour milk though so he was happy in the long run!

Ben also witnessed the mailing off of our federal taxes this morning! It was his third trip to the post office since being born! Hopefully next year, we won't wait until the last day to file!

Happy Easter!
Today, Ben had his first holiday - Easter! He celebrated by eating, sleeping and messing his diaper. He also took a walk up to CVS! Woohoo!

A Good Friday with Good Grandparents!
Mood:  a-ok
Pappy Gary and Grandma Sue came up to see Ben today! They brought him a big blue bunny for his first Easter! The thing is bigger than he is! They also brought some chocolate bunnies for me and James. That made me happy! Ben enjoyed the visit but slept most of the time. That's what babies do!

Daddy makes Ben Pee-Pee!

Today will be a wonderful day in history-it is the day that Ben shot off his fire hose while James was changing him! ha ha ha! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...I think Ben was more mad and frustrated out of all of us! I thought it was rather humourous!

The First Bath, sort of!
Today we went back to the doctor's and Ben weighed 6 lbs 14 ounces! The doctor said that the first weigh-in on Friday might have been a little off because it would be kind of hard for a newborn to gain 6 ounces in 3 days! She also checked out the gunk that started to appear in his eye yesterday and gave us some ointment for it. It should go away in no time!

Ben likes to dribble milk spit all over himself (as I am sure all babies do!). He got pretty punky and it was time to clean his stinky self! It was fun and he didn't mind it too much. Once his little belly button is all set, we can really get him nice and clean!

First Walk
Today, Ben went on his first walk in Brighton Center. The first public place he ever went was Dunkin' Donuts on Washington Street! We also stopped at Brooks but didn't like it very much because the isles were really narrow! It takes a while to get used to having a stroller with you!

Afterwards, we ventured toward the Oak Square area and stopped at Crazy Aunty Lee Lee's house (That's my friend Christine who lives about 1/2 mile away). She's not really an aunt...I'm not a fan of people who call themselves Aunt or Uncle when they aren't blood related to people...but we're making an exception for our friend Lee Lee...ha ha ha! Pat was there too so it was fun to visit with them for a while.

First Doctor's Visit!
Today was our first doctor's visit! All went pretty well but the Doctor said that Ben lost a little too much weight and she wants to see him again on Monday just to make sure he is doing okay. He doesn't have any signs of dehydration and he's pooping and peeing normally, so I'm sure it's not bad. He weighed in at 6 lbs 8 oz...more than a 10% loss from his birth weight of 7 lbs 5 oz. He was very well behaved and slept most of the time...he made his parents very proud!
