What is Takemusu?

The word Takemusu... Take means "Martial" and Musu means "To be born" so takemusu means "martial movement spontaneously created, without active thought".

O'Sensei considered Takemusu Aikido to be the highest form of Aikido.

What is Takemusu Aiki?

When added to the word Aiki the translations would be

"spontaneous creation of divine techniques"
or you could say..
"spontaneously aikido occuring naturally, without thought or force because it is inherently part of the universe"

Takemusu Aikido Association

The Takemusu Aikido Association is dedicated to the development and dissemination of Aikido based on the highest ideals of the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, O-Sensei. The Association does this by continuing and promoting the Founder's traditional teaching and training methods as passed on by his longest direct disciple, Morihiro Saito, Shihan.
