Hitohiro Saito Soke
Hitohiro Saito Sensei - 6th Dan Born: 12th Feb, 1957Communication from Hitohiro Sensei Started training when he was seven under O'Sensei and he continued training under his father (Saito Sensei). After leaving school Hitohiro went to learn how to cook as he planned to open a restaurant to be able to make a living while doing aikido. In this period he met Seiseki Abe Sensei and learned the art of calligraphy from him, just as the founder had once done. Hitohiro did then open a restaurant but he used to drink too much with the customers and started to fear he would ruin his health and so as of 1987 Hitohiro started teaching aikido full time. After his fathers passing away in 2002 he briefly took over as caretaker of the aiki shrine and he continued preserving the founders aikido. Following on the tradition Hitohiro Saito Sensei now travels extensively across the world teaching at seminars.
