Thank you all for your support and dedication to our message board community.

Dear Mr. Balow:

As a member of the Left Behind Message Boards (LBMB), I am concerned about the recent decisions that have been made regarding the community. While the boards are under the authority of Tyndale and are not required to exist, it seems that they provide an important service to the customers, fans of the series, and the Left Behind community as a whole. The message board format provides a unique way for people of all ages and backgrounds to communicate and discuss issues and ideas regarding God, religion, and truth.

I do not feel it is in the best interest of Tyndale House or their customers to do away with this message board. While troublemakers are a problem, they are not unique to the LBMB and I feel this issue could be handled in a less drastic way. Opening the fellowship-oriented forums (i.e., Fellowship Hall, Prayer Requests, Young Trib Force) would create a quality atmosphere to converse, while still avoiding the problems that occur in the more theological debate forums. Many people familiar with the boards have volunteered their time as moderators, allowing the boards to be monitored at no extra cost. If the cost of board maitenance is the problem, many have also stated that they would be willing to donate via PayPal.

I hope you will consider these suggestions. These forums have meant a great deal to me and the many others who visit them, and for many of us have played an integral role in our spiritual growth. Please reconsider the decision to close the boards in the interest of the many who have found fellowship there, and especially for those that would seek to do so in the future.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
