Qualifications:
My experience as a Substitute Library Assistant III has enabled me to experience more than one public library on Oahu. From 2002/2003 I have worked at Wahiawa, McCully and Manoa (for one week). Through these job placements I have learned: how to process and repair library materials, how to use the HSPLS (Hawaii State Public Library) databases and search engines (based on Horizon program), and how to help and deal with the public.
At Wahiawa Public Library I helped make a powerpoint presentation, flyers and brochures for the 2003 Summer Reading Program.
Computer Skills:
Currently taking LIS 694 Special Topics Information Technology for Librarians (an overview of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, UNIX, and HTML).
Very proficient in Microsoft XP, PowerPoint , and Filemaker.
Typing Speed: 45 wpm.
