 The Monkey Tree Frog 

 

General:

   This frog is from the tropical rain forest.  He grows to 3-4 inches big when full grown.

Habitat:

    These frogs need a 15 gallon or bigger high tank.  The tank should be well planted and have lots of dark hiding spots for him to hide during the day.  Mist the tank every other day and keep the tank  at about 40% humidity.  Also a screen lid is  necessary for good ventilation.  

Heat/Lighting:

    Keep a uvb light on for 12-14 hours during the day.  Also have a low wattage heat lamp (and heat pad on during the night) on so the temperature will be 76-82 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 70-75 during the night.

Food:

     The monkey tree frog eats crickets, wax worms, butter worms and insect larvae.  Remember to dust your crickets with calcium and vitamin powder. do not over dust.
