Characterictics
All parts of the plant are deep red, with the exception of a distinct margin on the traps, which is golden( a gold lining on each lobe). It produces rosettes of narrow petiolate, bi-lobed, and is decumbent to erect leaves, the size of which varies with season. What distinguish it from other VFT are its erected narrow petioles, it type of red coloration and the gold lining on its trap.
Since the Royal Red usually send erected petioles, it is important to keep the plant away from direct overhead sun. This is because the traps are far way from the cooling effect of its moist media and will result in leaf burn. Grow by the window sill.
