Characterictics

The cilia are fuzzy and jagged-like, not the same as that of the shark tooth which has distinct triangular cilia. The entire plant is deep red and is a slow grower. Usually forms ground hugging rosettes all year round.

The cilia resemble the saw tooth except that the piranha is entirely red.
