Talent:
Is there a bias in recruiting rankings?
Raw
Data
The
raw data provides more example of bias against the Big East.
When the average rank for recruiting and the average Sagarin
rank for each conference is calculated, the numbers match up
very well for each conference—except the Big East:

All
of the conferences besides the Big East finish--according to
Sagarin--close to where they should finish—according to
how Rivals evaluates their talent. Only vastly superior
coaching and/or vastly underrated talent could lead to such a
discrepency between predicted results and actual results.
