Where's Winnie Fletcher?

So now you know which one is Winnie.

Fame and Fortune

My scrapbook memories would not be complete without mentioning a special member of my orchestra. Louis Marshall Jones (Grandpa Jones) 1913 - 1998, was the only member of my orchestra to ever achieve fame and fortune. He was the best guitar and banjo player around, and he was a really nice fellow. I caught up with him in Minnesota in the 1980s when he and his group played a concert. (I was living in Superior, Wisconsin at the time.) He was kind enough to bring me front and center on stage and tell the crowd that I was someone who gave him a break early in his career.

Winnifred Fletcher Taylor

And yes, of course, I did marry that Fletcher gal.
We said our vows in 1943.
Look below and tell me how I could have possibly resisted!

You have now arrived at the end of my web page featuring musical memories of the 1930s and early 1940s.
Thank you for your interest in these fond memories. They were great ones.
