This guide makes some very good points in the fields of process and organization. People have the inate tendencies to create order where there is none, and to give and recieve information at a quicker and more convenient pace in an organized environment. This is also the graphic designer's responsibility, coupled with the task of creating a pleasurable environment that will attract people as well. Many web pages over large amounts of useful information that could not only benefit the visitor, but the creators as well. Yet, because the are not organized very well or are graphically inferior, they turn people off, and actually lose potential visitors / customers. Elements such as visualy hiearchy are very important to the visitor because they affect how well the reader can absorb the information as well as the convenience of the layout. If the reader is confronted with a grey and black wall of text, they are going to lose interest, and leave. Matters of consistancy hold the viewers attention, giving him/her a feeling of consistancy and uniqueness that most pages do not. Other elements such as page dimensions, grids and page length also play key roles in the grand tapestry of design. Overall, a website can be interesting despite how much or little information you are trying to expose the visitors to. As long as one prqactices good design, there should be no worries.
