Dreams Coming True
Chapter One
"Anyone, any performers in the country!?!?!?" I asked my tour manager in disbelief.
"Anyone, any group you want, you can tour with them."
Well, obviously, growing up in New Jersey in the late 90's and early 2000's I wanted to tour with a group that was kind of new on the pop scene. I knew the perfect group right away, my favorite, Take 5. They had totally blew away the music scene and conquered the charts in 2001 after the arrival of a new member and they had been my favorite group since 1997.
"Well then, you better book Take 5 right now then!" I told my producer, "Cause that's who I want!"
I couldn't believe, as my manager closed the deal with theirs, that I was gonna tour with them! I mean, I had only had 2 #1 singles that year, and I was only 15. But these guys were experienced performers and most of them were like 4 of 5 years older than me, except my favorite, Clay, and TJ.
My manager told me I was going to meet them the next week to make plans and that I had to fly out of New Jersey to L.A. teh next day. L.A. I thought, wow, all that talent. Watch out Take 5, the next big popstar, Melissa, is coming on tour with you!
