He sang. Julie realized that he was singing "Back To Your Heart" all by himself, with the other guys only backing him up on the chorus. The song was so beautiful and it was easy to see Nick's feelings expressed on his face and in the way that he sang the song. When he was finished, he came up to Julie, and put a jewelry box in her hand. She opened it to find the necklace that he had bought for her. She looked at him, and then Nick put the microphone to his mouth and said:
"Julie, I love you so much, will you please forgive me?" he asked. Tears gathered in Julie's eyes as she looked at Nick.
"I forgive you, and Nick, I love you too and I love this necklace, it's gorgeous." She said throwing her arms around him. They stood there hugging. Then they kissed and applause could be heard from all the guests.
"These past few days have been so horrible for me." Said Nick when he and Julie parted, but they still had their arms around each other. "I didn't know if you would forgive me and thinking about what would happen if you didn't only made me feel worse."
"Well, you don't have to think about it anymore because I forgive you completely, and these past few days haven't exactly been a picnic for me either." Said Julie.
"Yeah, you should've seen what we had to do to cheer this girl up." Said Angela coming up to Nick and Julie. The rest of the girls were with her also.
"If this would not have worked, I swear, we would've locked you two in a room and wouldn't open it until you worked everything out." Added Jen smiling.
"Just promise all of us one thing." Said Kevin when him, AJ, Howie, and Brian came up to the group.
"What?" asked Julie and Nick at the same time.
"Don't ever fight again!" said the four guys and girls at the same time and started laughing.
"Did you practice that?" asked Julie laughing.
"Yes, but promise." Said Brian.
"I promise." Said Julie.
"I promise too." Said Nick.
"Good, because going through this once was one time too many." Said Howie. Then everyone gathered around Nick and Julie and gave them a big group hug. Afterwards, Nick stepped back onto the 'stage'. Julie looked at him quizzically.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I'm going to sing one more song for you." Said Nick. "And I want you up here with me when I sing it." he said holding out his hand. Julie took it and came up with him. The music began and Nick started singing once again:

During the song, they slow danced on stage in each other's arms. Nick knew that this was Julie's favorite song and he wanted her to remember her birthday forever, so he decided to sing it. When he finished, they stood kissing on stage and pretty much forgot that there was anyone else in the room. It was only when they heard the applause that they realized that they were in a room full of people. Afterwards, Nick went to get some food for the both of them while Julie went to find Christina. She found her talking to a guy who was a friend of theirs.
"Hey!" exclaimed Christina when she saw Julie approaching. She ran up to her and gave her a huge hug. "Happy Birthday!!" she added.
"Thank you!" said Julie, smiling widely.
"Here you go." Said Christina handing Julie a box.
"Thanks, what is it?" she asked looking at the box in her hands.
"Open it and find out!" urged Christina. Julie opened it to find a beautiful tennis bracelet inside.
"This is wonderful, thank you!" she said hugging her best friend.
"You're welcome." Said Christina. "Here, let me help you put it on." She said taking the bracelet out of Julie's hands and putting it on her wrist. When the clasp was fastened the stones caught the light and glittered.
"I love it." said Julie. They talked some more and by that time Nick had found Julie and he had two plates of food in his hands. They found a table and ate while talking.
Around one o'clock in the morning, all the guests went home and everyone went up to their rooms to get some sleep. Julie got to her room, changed into her pajamas and climbed into bed. She was almost asleep when she heard a soft knock on her door, moments later, Nick's head appeared in the doorway.
"Julie? You asleep?" he asked quietly.
"Nope, come in." she said, sat up and turned on the light. He came in and sat near her on her bed.
"So, did you enjoy your birthday?" asked Nick.
"Yes, I think it was the best birthday I've ever had." She said. "And I have you to thank." She looked into his eyes.
"Well, everyone else helped me of course." He said stroking her hair.
"Yeah, and I'll thank them tomorrow morning." Said Julie and yawned. She moved over and Nick climbed in and lay down next to her. Her head was resting on his arm since it was around her shoulders. Julie closed her eyes and snuggled closer to Nick. He hugged her even tighter and kissed her lips lightly.
"Good night." Said Nick softly and turned off the light.
"Night." Murmured Julie and fell asleep. Nick fell asleep minutes after her.
