"Taylor! Jennifer!" Diana Hanson exclaimed, opening the front door.

"Hey, Mom," Taylor said, giving her a hug.

"Hey, Diana," Jennifer said, also hugging her.

"Come on in," Diana said.

Taylor and Jennifer walked through the door and into the living room. Taylor set the gifts under the tree.

"Jennifer!" Zac said. "You’re a blimp!"

"I know!" Jennifer exclaimed. "I just want this kid out of me. By the way, merry Christmas!"

"Nope," Zac said. "Merry Christmas Eve!"

"Smart Alec," Jennifer said with a smile.

"When is the baby due?" Isaac asked, coming into the room.

"Last week," Taylor said. "Now the doctor’s saying any day now."

"Dinner," Walker announced, poking his head through the doorway.

They all headed into the dining room. Everyone was there, Walker, Diana, Zoë, Mack, Avie, Jessica, Isaac, Zac, and then there was Ike’s girlfriend Cassie and Zac’s girlfriend Melissa, better known as Lissa.

As they all ate their dinner they talked about everything from the weather to the baby to be.

"Cass," Isaac said when they were just finished with dinner. "Should we tell them?"

"Tell them what?" Zac asked.

"Isaac and I, well," Cassie said. She held up her left hand. On her ring finger was a beautiful silver plated ring with a sapphire surrounded by tiny diamonds.

"Oh, my gosh!" Jennifer said. "You’re engaged?!?"

"Yeah!" Cassie said grinning.

"Congratulations!" Diana said.

"This calls for desert!" Walker said. He and Diana stood up to go get the pies from the kitchen.

They eat their desert filled with excitement over Isaac and Cassie’s news.

When they were finished eating, they all went into the living room to open gifts.

"Here Jennifer," Zac said. "This is from Lissa and me."

"Thanks guys," she said, taking the gift. She ripped off the wrapping paper to reveal a gift set from Bath and Body Works, and a little outfit for the unborn baby.

"Aaah!" Jennifer yelled painfully.

"Hey, if you don’t like it you can return it," Zac said.

"Are you going into labor?" Taylor asked, ignoring Zac’s comment.

Jennifer just nodded her head. Diana stood up and ran to get Taylor and Jennifer’s coats.

"Do you need your bags from home?" Cassie asked.

"No," Jennifer said. "We keep it in the car."

Taylor and Jennifer went out to the car to drive to the hospital. The rest of the family stayed home.

"We just paged Dr. Austin," a nurse said once they were in the hospital room. "She’ll be here soon."

When Dr. Austin got there she checked things over and told them they had probably another 2 hours before the baby would be born.

The time went by incredibly slowly.

Finally, Dr. Austin announced that Jennifer was fully dilated and it was time.

"Ok, Jennifer," Dr. Austin said. "Push!"

"Aaah!" Jennifer screamed.

Finally, after a few more push’s, Dr. Austin said she could see the head.

"Come on Jen," she said. "Just one more push."

"Aaah!" Jennifer screamed.

"Come here, Taylor," Dr. Austin said. "Do you want to cut the umbilical cord?"

"Yeah!" he said. He took the special scissors and cut where they told him to. "Jen! It’s a girl! We have a baby girl!"

Jennifer leaned back and cried tears of joy.

The nurse took the baby and cleaned her off. Then she wrapped her up in a blanket and placed her in Jennifer’s arms.

"Our Christmas miracle," Jennifer whispered.

"God’s Christmas gift," Taylor added.

"She had your eyes. So blue."

"She has your nose." He poked her on the nose.

"Holly," she whispered.

"Holly Noelle Hanson," Taylor completed.

"The perfect name for a Christmas baby," Jennifer said.
