Hours later, Lexi was beginning her very first photo shoot. She was told when she first arrived at the photography studio that there would be five different set ups with five equally different outfits and styles. They would shoot three of the set ups today and the next two on Monday morning before she started shooting her video.
First they dressed Lexi in a white cotton pajama set that consisted of a tank top and boy-cut shorts. The make up was simple and the hair was styled to match the simplicity. They then shot two rolls of film of Lexi lying on a bed with white satin sheets in different positions.
Next, she changed into a pair of dark blue jeans and a black, fitted v-neck shirt. Her hair was put up into a loose ponytail. In this outfit, she sat on a light blue sofa and was told to laugh and look like she was having a good time. She felt a little ridiculous, but she cooperated and did exactly as the photographer said.
By the time the next set change came around it was about 5 PM and Lexi was getting tired. But the next set up was for the cover of her album, so she had to look awake as possible.
Lexi’s hair was done, and while the stylists were putting the finishing touches on her make up, her cell phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Babe. What’s up?”
“Josh! I’m so glad to hear your voice! How goes it in New York?”
“Good, good. I miss you.”
“Yeah, I miss you too, but I’ll see you in approximately 12 days,” Lexi said smiling.
“I can’t wait. So what do you want to do for Valentine’s Day?”
“Oh I don’t know. Go out to dinner, see a play, or we could just stay in…”
JC chuckled. “Oo, that sounds good.”
“Lexi,” the costume designer interrupted, “We need to get you dressed and start shooting.”
“Ok thanks, Eliza. Look, Josh, I’ve gotta go.”
“Ok, Lex. Have fun. I’ll call you later.”
“Ok, bye.”
“Bye.”
That phone call was just what Lexi needed to give her a boost of energy for the last shoot. As she put on a long, light blue, satin dress she began to feel bad again about what she was thinking of the other day. Then as she was posing in doorframe and getting her picture taken she debated whether she should tell JC what Richard had told her. “I’ll tell him,” she thought. “He’ll get a kick out of it.”
